Frequently Asked Questions
What type of dresses can you make?
I can make all kinds of Indian Bridal Lehenga, Gown, Saree, Anarkali, Salwar Suit, Sherwani, Kurta Pajama and Kids wear. Although it may not be possible to make certain designs and I will let you know if I can’t do it for you.
Where will my dress be made?
Your dress will be made in India.
What type of fabric do you use?
The fabric selection depends upon the type of design of the dress. I can make dresses in Silk, Art Silk, Georgette, Cotton, Cotton Silk, Raw Silk, Net, Chiffon, Kinkhab and many other types of fabrics.
What will be the quality of fabric?
I always intend to use the highest quality of fabric available in India, however it also depends on the budget.
What will be the quality of embellishments?
I want your outfit to be as glamorous as you are and use the best quality material should it be embroidery thread, zardosi, sequin, pearls or crystals. Higher the quality of material, it will cost more.
Can I meet you?
At present I do not drive, but you are very welcome to meet me at my residence in Luton, Bedfordshire. I will make Indian lunch or snacks for you and we can talk about your dress with a cup of tea. In fact you can also take this opportunity for me to take your measurements, even though you do not want to get your dress made by me.
How long does it take?
Usually It takes 3-4 months to make a bespoke outfit once the order is finalized. It could be done sooner or it may take longer depending upon the complexity of the design, sourcing material etc.
I have received my dress but I need additional fittings to be done.
Although we send you a sample outfit before we make your final dress to ensure it fits you well. In rare instances it may be a bit tight or loose. It is easier to get it tighter than making it lose. However I always keep extra margins inside to loosen it up. Either you can send it to me and I will get it fixed or you can get help from your local seamstress, and I will be happy to compensate for the cost of alteration once agreed mutually.
I also try to send you extra fabric used to make your dress, on rare occasions if you have put on extra weight and need extra fabric for the alterations, this extra fabric will be handy.
Please note that Sherwani and fully concealed dresses can not be altered, therefore please be extra careful about the measurements you submit.
I have received my outfit but some embellishments are falling off.
Due to the nature of the material, some motifs can fall. E.g. stones and crystals are glued to the fabric and some of it tends to fall. But if it is falling extensively, please contact me.
Will the colour of final outfit matches exactly as sample agreed?
So far I have never received a complaint about any final outfit that does not match the selected colour shade sample. But personally I have noticed that there is minor difference in the colour. It is due to the fact that dyeing and matching colour is a manual process. Once fabric is dyed and dry, the colour appears to be different than colour soup it was dipped into.
Some time I need to get the whole length of fabric dyed 2-3 times before I get the right shade. And every time it is additional cost to me. But my preference would be to give you correct colour shade that is as close as to what we have agreed.

How many bespoke orders a month do you accept?
I only take 3-4 bespoke orders every month, this allows me to give enough attention to all the clients and take care of my kids.
What are the payment options?
Upon finalization of the order, you pay 50% payment in advance and remaining 50% just before the outfits are shipped.
You can do a bank transfer or I can send you a paypal invoice to pay by credit or debit card.
How long does it take to deliver?
Once shipped it usually takes 3-5 working days to deliver within the UK. I prefer to ship it using DHL.
Do I need to pay custom duty?
Some of my clients had to pay a custom duty. I can not tell you exactly how much it would be, but if there is any custom duty to be paid, it’s your responsibility to pay it. If delayed or not paid, the item can be destroyed by the customs.
